Here are more moments from Day 1 of the Battle of the Rookies Pickleball Tournament at Dens Pickleball and Tennis Club.

The opening day brought exciting rallies, competitive matches, new tournament experiences, and plenty of great moments on and off the court.

BATTLE OF THE ROOKIES 2026 — THAT’S A WRAP! 🏆🔥

What an incredible weekend of pickleball! Here are some of the moments from the recently concluded Battle of the Rookies Pickleball Tournament, held at Dens Pickleball and Tennis Club. 💙

From intense rallies and exciting matches to new friendships and unforgettable moments, this tournament showed us that every great player starts somewhere. Congratulations to all our Champions, Runner-Ups, and every player who stepped onto the court and gave their best!

A huge THANK YOU to all the players who joined, the clubs and communities who supported the tournament, our tournament officials, referees, staff, sponsors, partners, spectators, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make the event possible.

More than the medals and trophies, we hope you take home great memories, new friendships, and an even greater love for the game.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the courts for our next tournament!

⏰ IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS

Please arrive at least 1 HOUR BEFORE your scheduled game time. This will give you enough time to check in, prepare, and be ready when your match is called.

DEFAULTING TIME: 2 MINUTES
Once your name is called, you will have only 2 MINUTES to report to your assigned court.

⚠️ Please be on time. Failure to report within the 2-minute defaulting period may result in a default.

📍TIE -BREAK RULES-

•TRIPLE-TIE (3 times tied)

📍If three teams are tied in the standings, only the games played among the tied teams will be considered.

📍Ranking will be determined using point differential (PD)

PD=Point Scored-Points Allowed

The team with the highest PD ranks highest among the tied teams.

TWO-TEAM TIE

•If only two teams are tied, the winner will be determined by the head-to-head result (the team that won their match against the other tied team.)
