History of Barangay Lindero
Once upon a time, there was a mauntainous place located between 2 provinces Aklan and Antique. There was a man named Ginoong Sotero Martizano who convinced people to create a community. He donated part of his land to build a first ever Primary School (Lindero Elementary School as of today)
Then, Ginooong Berti Beliran took over as Teniente del Barrio and he also donate
d part of his land to build a Plaza. After him was Ginoong Francisco Lucas followed by Mauro Lucas, son of Francisco Lucas. Then, Ginoong Jose Domingo Sr. took over, and during his reign that Lindero prosper, He build Barangay Auditorium (stage), basketball court and Barangay Road to Tinindugan and Tinigbas. After him was Ginoong Basilio Angeles, then Ginoong Vinancio Lebuna followed by Ginoong Henry Domingo. Honorable Mito Artucilla took over when Henry Domingo elected as SB of Libertad. As of today, Mito Artucilla is still the Barangay Captain of Lindero Libertad Antique.
