Every reef tells a story, and the ones right here in Cordova remind us of what's at stake. We cannot protect what we don’t know exists, which is why sharing this beauty is so important. What if we told you that this is just minutes away from the RORO Port of Cordova, Cebu?
From loading our tanks onto the boat, helping each other gear up, and taking that giant stride into the water… to passing the camera from one diver to another, this is what diving is all about.

And then, beneath the surface, Cordova reveals a world that many people may never know exists.
🐢 Sea turtles
🐠 Glassfish
🦀 Ghost pipefish
🐸 Frogfish
🪸 Brain corals
🌿 Staghorn corals
🪭 Sea fans
🐍 Eels
…and so much more.

Every turn brought another reminder of how alive and beautiful our waters can be.

The amazing part?
📍 This reef is right here in Cordova, Cebu, just a few minutes from the RORO Port.
You don't have to travel to a faraway island to experience a thriving underwater world. Sometimes, the treasure we are looking for is right in our own backyard.

But beauty like this comes with a responsibility.
If we want people to appreciate our reefs, we first have to show them what is worth protecting.

ℹDid you know that Cordova’s Marine Protected Area is a bustling sanctuary for an incredible variety of marine life? From delicate soft corals to resilient hard corals, our waters are teeming with biodiversity.
Among its most legendary residents are the giant barrel sponge corals. These massive, breathtaking structures can live for hundreds—and sometimes over 2,000 years—ranking them among the oldest living animals on Earth! 👵🏼✨ You can also spot the elegant, fan-like Gorgonian corals swaying gracefully with the ocean currents. 🧜🏼‍♀️

This is the reef of Cordova, Cebu — just near the RORO Port.

Beautiful, vibrant, and full of life.
This is a reminder that we have something worth protecting right here in our own backyard. Our reefs are not just beautiful underwater landscapes—they are home to countless marine species and part of the natural heritage of Cordova.

Let’s continue caring for and protecting these waters so that future generations can experience the same beauty.
