Today was a tough loss against a formidable opponent, but there are no excuses. We lost to a team that was truly the real deal, and it’s a clear message that we have areas to refine and work on. This game showed us how much further we can push ourselves moving forward. Earlier today, Opon Football Club hit the pitch for an incredible tune-up game with Mahayahay FC and the Lapu-Lapu City Heroes!

It wasn't about the scoreboard today—it was all about community, staying active, and having a blast. From great plays to endless laughs, it was the perfect reminder of why we love this sport so much.

I wanted to take a moment to express just how incredibly proud I am of every single one of you after our performance this past weekend at the Mabes Cup.

Coming home as the 1st Runner-Up in both the U7 and Men’s Open divisions is a massive achievement. Furthermore, to our U15 category, you may have fallen short during the quarterfinals, but the grit and effort you displayed on the pitch were outstanding. All of you did a great job and represented us well. While we may not have grabbed the top trophy this time, the way you played spoke louder than any championship title ever could.

In my eyes, you are all champions. You played with integrity and heart, and that is what defines this team.

Thank you for the hard work, the sweat, and the commitment you showed over May 2nd and 3rd. This is only the beginning for us.
