IN PHOTOS | Equipping future physical educators with vital lifesaving skills!

BPED 3A students engaged in a Basic Life Support (BLS) Seminar facilitated by course instructor Prof. Riel Anne A. Batilo, with Nurse Kenneth Culannay serving as the resource speaker.

Following an insightful lecture and live demonstration, students performed return demonstrations to master proper emergency response techniques. The hands-on training boosted the students' confidence and practical preparedness for real-world emergencies.

Reinforcing its long-standing commitment to promoting Filipino culture and the arts in various forms, the MMSU College of Teacher Education (CTE) joins the 2026 Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino celebration through a week-long series of activities from July 27 to 31.

Spearheaded by the Sentro ng Wika at Kultura (SWK) and the Human Movement and Arts Education Department (HMAED), the celebration will feature four activities: Broadcasting Homegrown Music on Campus, Information Dissemination and Online Campaign, Tertulyang Pangmusika (Webinar), and the Grand Culminating Activity, featuring a Student Musical Showcase.

Anchored on the theme, "Musika at Himig Natin: Tradisyon, Industriya, at Bagong Tinig," the activities will highlight not only established forms of Filipino music but also emerging genres that have yet to gain mainstream recognition. Furthermore, the celebration aims to promote greater appreciation of Original Pilipino Music (OPM) as an essential part of Filipino culture and identity, particularly among the younger generation.

The Bachelor of Physical Education first-year students proudly took part in Pasangbay 2026 at the Mariano Marcos State University – College of Teacher Education. Filled with energy, camaraderie, and school spirit, the event became a memorable experience as the freshmen showcased their enthusiasm on the campus grounds.

The freshman BPED students officially marked their entry into the College of Teacher Education by participating in this year's PASANGBAY 2026. Proving that passion, discipline, and teamwork start on day one, the group proudly clinched 2nd Place in the Cheers and Yells Competition.
