NO TO ENTITLED BEHAVIOR! 💯
You cannot demand for what you deserve unless you do not deserve it! Respect is earned not demanded. And you do not punish people for not respecting you if you have not earned their respect for you! Respect begets respect. You only get what you give! Respect if you want to be respected!
Do not tell people to call an apple a mango just because you want to believe that an apple is a mango. Do not impose your belief on others if your belief is in the first place out of place. Call something whatever you want, it’s yours! But to impose on others and call them disrespectful for not seeing what you see is out of the line!
Be not so entitled that you forget that other people are entitled for their rights too! Especially if you are wrong! Do not put others in the bad light just because you want the limelight for yourself. And do not become so thirsty for attention for you just might get drowned!
Your emotions may be valid but not your bad behaviors! You can feel offended but without also offending others. You can feel tired but without being rude and disrespectful of others. You can feel down but without pulling others down. Do not speak and take action by allowing yourself to be blindly led by your emotions!
Entitlement is not an entitlement. No one has a claim to be above others. Nobody has the right to step on others just to build themselves up. No one is truly happy by building their happiness in the unhappiness of others. Nothing good comes with doing bad and by putting others in the bad light!
There is only one entitlement that we should claim: serving and loving God and others! We can only take pride in our doing of God’s will in our lives. And that, even, is an entitlement that we are not entitled as our title. Let our good deeds speak of what we take pride for. Let our actions speak for themselves. Let our goodness lead us to good actions.
We were only forgiven! We only live by God’s mercy. We are here because God had pity on us. It was His compassion and love. Our chance was only because of God’s great love for us. We are not above anyone else, we are but lower and we must be humbler.
If God humbled Himself to become like us, except sin; then who are we to take pride in our sins? We are never above God. We are never above anybody around us. Ours is the lowest place. It is not our duty to exalt ourselves. Only God can lift us up!
