To build friendship and to help cultivate a strong sense of school pride and build self-esteem, we would like to invite everyone to watch the Friendship Game between Mariano Peralta National High School and Cor Jesu College of Digos on February 11, 2023, Saturday, at ABC Gymnasium, Poblacion, Malita, Davao Occidental.
The game will start at exactly 9:00 o'clock in the morning and will be played by the following teams:

The TEAM BRAD - MPNHS Bloomers bagged the 2nd place during the KILALAG VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE last October 8, 2022 at Brgy. Kilalag, Malita, Davao Occidental organized by the Sangguniang Kabataan. It was an intense Championship battle against the Mighty DPWH Team, who crowned as the Champion of the tourney.

We thank Mr. Ronald Danwata and family as well as Salda Family for the accommodation, transportation, delicious lunch and veggies. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the Barangay Local Government Unit of Kilalag and Sangguniang Kabataan Council.

Although we came up short in the competition against the likes of Holy Cross of Davao College and Sto. Nino National High School of Talaingod, Davao del Norte, the eventual CHAMPION, it was a meaningful learning experience for us. Indeed, we proved that the system of Modern Volleyball works, we only need to improve more on the individual attributes.

[MPNHS VOLLEYBALL CLUB IN ACTION]

The Mariano Peralta NHS Volleyball Club conducted a basic muscle activation exercises for Special Program in Sports Student-athletes. The facilitators were the club officers led by President Andreana Estelle Modelo; Ardy Aradillos and Christian Yuba, together with the active members.

The SPS student-athletes schedules on Wednesdays and Thursdays will be a lecture/discussions on Basic Strength & Conditioning and Technical Skills while on Mondays and Tuesdays will be the application of Exercises and Skills.

SCREENING FOR VOLLEYBALL GRASSROOTS DEVELOPMENT

The Special Program in Sports under the leadership of Mr. NORBERTO S. CEDENO JR, in collaboration with the MPNHS Volleyball Club conducted a 2-day screening of potential athletes for grassroots development. The said action was aligned with the Comprehensive Sports Development Program of the club and school with the vision of honing the potential student-athletes of the Municipality of Malita and the Province of Davao Occidental.

Furthermore, the target output of this activity was to create a training pool for Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 squads for both girls and boys. With the support of the school administration and the SPS Office, the MPNHS Volleyball Club will continue to nurture student-athletes. The School and the Program Coordinator will also seek partnerships and linkages to create a strong support system from various stakeholders.

1st MARIANO PERALTA NHS VOLLEYBALL CLUB MEETING

The Special Program in Sports for Volleyball conducted the 1st monthly meeting for the school year 2022-2023. The objectives of the said activity were: (1) orient the students on the curriculum of the special program in sports; (2) collaborate with the students on the creation of school-based volleyball club; and, (3) design a comprehensive sports development plan.

In addition, an election of officers was also conducted to organize and empower the student-athletes of the school and creating a sense of community and right to organization. This activity were facilitated by ALDWIN O. CAYETANO, SPS 9/10 Teacher and COACH of MPNHS LADY BLOOMERS; ELLEN MAE P. VERANO, SPS 7/8 Teacher and ASSISTANT. COACH; as well as VON MARC D. GIGER, ASSISTANT COACH for MPNHS DREAMERS.
