Our Boys did great in the "𝟑𝐑𝐃 𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐀𝐍 𝐅𝐎𝐎𝐓𝐁𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐀𝐋" held last April 18, 2026 in Larena, Siquijor.

Our U17 Boys had a strong outing finishing the group stage with 1Win and 2Draws, advancing to the semis and eventually finishing 2nd-runner up.

Meanwhile our U13 Boys fought their hearts out; ending their journey in the group stage with 1Draw and 2Losses.

Negros Footballers Summoned: UE Red Warriors to Hold Major Tryouts in Victorias City

VICTORIAS CITY, Negros Occidental – The road to the UAAP opens this weekend for Negrense footballers. The University of the East (UE) Red Warriors have officially issued a call to all aspiring college student-athletes across Negros to participate in a massive recruitment tryout this February 7-8, 2026.

The session is scheduled to begin at 7:30 AM at the Victorias City National High School (VCNHS) pitch.

A Homecoming for Coach Frank Muecan
The tryouts carry extra significance as they are spearheaded by UE Head Coach Franklin "Frank" Muecan. A native of Negros Occidental and a pride of Victorias City, Coach Muecan returns to his roots to personally scout for the next generation of football stars.

Muecan, who holds an AFC "A" License, is a heavyweight in Philippine football coaching, with a resume that includes leadership roles with the Azkals Development Team (ADT), United City FC, and the UP Men’s Football Team. His presence offers local athletes a rare, direct link to one of the most prestigious collegiate leagues in the country.

Collaborative Scouting Effort
To ensure the best talent is identified, the event is organized in partnership with:
🔴 NORFA (Negros Occidental Regional Football Association)
🔴 LGU-Victorias (Local Government Unit)

This collaboration highlights the commitment of both the university and local leaders to provide athletic scholarship opportunities and a professional pathway for regional players.

Athlete Checklist
Aspiring Red Warriors are advised to arrive at the venue by 7:00 AM for registration. Participants should bring:
✅ Complete Football Gear: Boots, shin guards, and a proper training kit.
✅ Identification: A valid School ID or recent report card (for academic verification).
✅ Hydration: Personal water bottles.
