Who is JHOMARY SAPAL?
From Isulan to the Biggest Stage of the Philippines: The journey of Jhomary “Jho” Sapal.
From the quiet town of Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, to the bright lights of the Philippine football stage, one young man has proven that dreams do come true when you mix passion with hard work — Jhomary “Jho” Sapal.
Jho’s story began with a simple love for the game, a grade 3 young boy kicking footballs on the sidelines, full of curiosity and determination. Who would have thought that those moments on dusty fields would lead him to represent Sultan Kudarat Province and, eventually, make a name in Philippine football?
When Jho was given the chance to study at the University of Makati as a football scholar, he didn’t just bring his talent, he carried with him the pride, hopes, and dreams of his province. He played his heart out, representing his school and his hometown with honor.
But what makes Jhomary’s story truly special isn’t just his success on the field. It’s his heart for others.
He became a bridge, opening doors for young football players from Sultan Kudarat to chase their own dreams in Manila. Because of his discipline, kindness, and strong character, many universities now welcome Sultan Kudarat athletes with open arms.
Beyond being a player, Jho became a kuya, a mentor, and a guardian to those who followed his path. His small room in Manila became a home for many, a place where young scholars could find comfort, guidance, and sometimes even financial help when things got tough.
He shared not just his resources, but his time, his advice, and his heart.
That’s the kind of person Jhomary is, a man who lifts others as he climbs, who never forgets where he came from, and who continues to inspire everyone who knows his story.
From playing in the 1st Gov. Pax Mangudadatu Kalimudan Football Festival to scoring in the Philippine Football League, Jho’s journey is proof that nothing is impossible when you work hard and stay true to your roots.
His story is also a reflection of a dream long envisioned by the province’s great leaders, Former Gov. Pax Mangudadatu, who first believed in the potential of local athletes, and Gov. Teng Mangudadatu and Gov. Datu Pax Ali Mangudadatu, who continue to nurture and support that vision today.
Because of that shared dream, from leaders to athletes, Sultan Kudarat is now known as a land that produces not only skilled players but strong, disciplined, and compassionate individuals.
From Isulan to Manila, and now with Aguilas FC, you’ve shown us that no dream is too big and no province too small for someone with a strong heart and unwavering faith
Jhomary “Jho” Sapal, we are so proud of you.

Padayon, Jho!
Your journey is our pride, your story is our inspiration, and your heart is the true victory for Sultan Kudarat.
