Ang Elite League of Information Technology Students (ELITS) ay mariing tumututol sa pagbawas ng pondo para sa ating pamantasan.

Ang ating pamantasan ay nahaharap sa 3.17% na budget cut sa taong 2027. Mula sa โ‚ฑ2,116,592,000 na budget noong 2026, โ‚ฑ2,049,499,000 na lamang ang inilaan para sa ating pamantasan ngayong 2027โ€”isang pagbawas na โ‚ฑ67.093 milyon.

Hindi lamang ito simpleng numero sa isang dokumento. Ang bawat pisong nababawas sa pampublikong edukasyon ay maaaring magkaroon ng epekto sa mga serbisyong umaabot sa mga estudyante, sa kalagayan ng ating mga g**o at kawani, sa ating mga silid-aralan at laboratoryo, sa pananaliksik at inobasyon, sa student services, at sa iba pang programang bumubuo sa isang makabuluhan at dekalidad na edukasyon.

Sa panahong patuloy na tumataas ang gastusin sa pag-aaral, pamasahe, pagkain, kagamitan, at iba pang pangangailangan ng mga estudyante, hindi pagbawas ang kailangan ng edukasyonโ€”kundi dagdag na suporta at sapat na pondo.

Ang ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ๐˜‚๐—ธ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜†๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐—ธ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ป, ๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ถ ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฏ๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ต๐—ถ๐˜†๐—ผ. Hindi dapat maging hadlang ang kakulangan ng pondo sa pangarap ng isang kabataang nais makapagtapos. Hindi dapat mapilitan ang mga estudyante at g**o na pagkasyahin ang kulang na resources habang patuloy na hinihingi sa kanila ang kalidad at kahusayan.

Bilang mga estudyante ng teknolohiya, alam natin ang halaga ng investment sa kinabukasan. Kung nais nating magkaroon ng mas mahusay na mga propesyonal, mananaliksik, innovators, programmers, engineers, educators, at iba pang kabataang magsisilbi sa bayan, kinakailangang ngayon pa lamang ay may sapat na pamumuhunan sa kanilang edukasyon.

Hindi tayo tahimik habang binabawasan ang pondong dapat para sa edukasyon. Hindi tayo mananahimik habang ang kalidad ng pag-aaral at kapakanan ng mga estudyante ay nakasalalay sa kakulangan ng resources.
