📌 OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT NOTICE

REGISTRATION, PAYMENT OBLIGATION & PLAYER IDENTITY VERIFICATION

Paddle It Forward: A Charity Pickleball Tournament for a Cause – Season 2

All players are hereby FORMALLY REMINDED of the following tournament policies and obligations:

I. REGISTERED PLAYERS WITH UNSETTLED ACCOUNTS

Players whose names appear on the official player list and have been included in the finalized bracketing shall be deemed OFFICIALLY REGISTERED AND CONFIRMED for the tournament, regardless of whether the corresponding registration fee has already been paid.

Once bracketing has been finalized, the player's slot is considered reserved and committed. Accordingly, the player has the obligation to settle the applicable registration fee.

This policy is implemented because the organizers have already made financial, logistical, and operational commitments based on the finalized list of registered players, including but not limited to:

Tournament shirts and player inclusions;
Court and tournament arrangements;
Bracketing and scheduling;
Tournament materials and supplies;
Player-related logistical preparations; and
Other expenses incurred in preparation for the event.

Accordingly, failure to pay after bracketing shall not constitute cancellation of registration or release the player from the payment obligation.

The organizers have provided players with sufficient opportunity to verify their registration status, names, categories, and other relevant information through the official United Panay Pickleball Club (UPPC) announcements and published player lists.

It is the responsibility of every registered player to regularly monitor the official UPPC page and announcements for registration updates, deadlines, schedules, player lists, and other tournament-related notices.

II. NO AUTOMATIC CANCELLATION AFTER BRACKETING

Players who voluntarily submitted their registration and whose names were subsequently included in the official bracketing cannot assume that their registration will automatically be cancelled simply because payment remains unsettled.

After bracketing, the organizers may have already incurred expenses and made commitments specifically in consideration of the player's participation.

Therefore, unsettled registration fees remain due and payable, subject to the tournament's applicable policies and the discretion of the Tournament Committee in exceptional circumstances.

III. MANDATORY PLAYER IDENTIFICATION

All participating players are REQUIRED TO BRING A VALID GOVERNMENT-ISSUED ID OR OTHER ACCEPTABLE IDENTIFICATION during the tournament.

The Tournament Committee has observed instances in which players may register or appear under a maiden name, second name, nickname, alternate name, or other name different from the name by which they are commonly identified in pickleball circles.

Player identification may therefore be required for the purpose of:

Verifying the identity of the registered player;
Confirming that the person participating is the person actually registered;
Verifying player eligibility;
Confirming proper skill-level/category placement; and
Preventing misrepresentation or circumvention of the tournament's player-placement and advancement rules.
IV. MISREPRESENTATION OF IDENTITY OR PLAYER LEVEL

Any player who intentionally uses a different name, provides misleading information, or otherwise attempts to conceal their identity or playing history for the purpose of obtaining eligibility for a lower category may be subject to review by the Tournament Committee.

If misrepresentation is established, the Tournament Committee reserves the right, consistent with the tournament rules, to impose appropriate action, which may include:

Removal from the applicable category;
Disqualification;
Forfeiture of awards or prizes;
Reclassification to the appropriate skill level; and/or
Other appropriate action determined by the Tournament Committee.

The purpose of this requirement is not to inconvenience players, but to protect the integrity of the tournament and ensure that every participant competes under the same eligibility standards.

V. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY

By registering for Paddle It Forward Season 2, each player acknowledges and agrees that it is their responsibility to:

Provide accurate registration information;
Monitor official tournament announcements;
Verify their name and category upon publication of the player list;
Raise any concern or correction within the prescribed period;
Settle applicable registration fees within the required deadline;
Present valid identification when requested; and
Comply with the tournament's eligibility, classification, advancement, and other applicable rules.

Failure to read, monitor, or respond to official announcements shall not automatically exempt a player from the applicable tournament policies.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to interpret and enforce these provisions in the interest of fairness, proper tournament administration, and the integrity of the competition.

We respectfully ask all players for their full cooperation, honesty, and compliance.

📢 IMPORTANT UPDATE: PROTEST VERIFICATION & TOURNAMENT CLASSIFICATION 🏓

We are currently verifying all protests that have been submitted. We appreciate everyone who took the time to raise their concerns and provide supporting information.

We would also like to clarify an important part of the Paddle It Forward Season 2 Player Placement & Advancement Rules:

🏆 NOT ALL TOURNAMENTS ARE CONSIDERED MAJOR TOURNAMENTS

For purposes of player classification and advancement, the Tournament Organizers have the discretion to determine whether a tournament is classified as a MAJOR or MINOR tournament, based on the nature, level, and overall structure of the event.

🔵 MAJOR TOURNAMENTS

Podium finishes (🥇 Gold, 🥈 Silver, 🥉 Bronze) may be counted toward the player's advancement record.
These results will be considered during player placement verification.

⚪ MINOR TOURNAMENTS

Podium finishes from tournaments classified as Minor will not be counted toward the player's advancement record.

📌 CATEGORY CLASSIFICATION

We would also like to clarify that certain category names used by different tournaments do not automatically correspond to the category classifications used in Paddle It Forward Season 2.

For example:

❌ Novice–Intermediate / Novice-Inter categories
➡️ NOT COUNTED for purposes of our advancement calculation.

🔵 Beginner Pro / Beginner Pro Max
➡️ For Paddle It Forward Season 2, these categories are classified as BEGINNER.

This is necessary because tournament organizers may use different category names and formats. Our committee will therefore evaluate the actual category level and tournament classification, rather than relying solely on the name of the division.

⚠️ PLEASE BE PATIENT

All submitted protests are being reviewed individually and based on available verifiable information.

The organizers will consider:
✔️ Tournament classification
✔️ Category played
✔️ Official tournament results
✔️ Podium finish
✔️ Applicable Paddle It Forward advancement rules
✔️ Other relevant supporting evidence

We ask everyone to allow the organizers time to properly verify each protest before making any final determination.
