The Association of Salpakan Enthusiasts in Iloilo City (ASEIC) was established on July 17, 2017 as non-profit organization within Western Visayas. The organization wants to promote the Game of the Generals, also known as “Salpakan”. The “Game of the Generals” is an educational war game invented in the Philippines by Sofronio H. Pasola, Jr. in 1970. It is a board game designed for two players, each controlling an army, and a neutral arbiter. Since this kind of board game is not prominent at present, therefore ASEIC strives to encourage the youth to play this worthwhile sport. The goal of this organization is to engage the youth in recreational activity that can enhance creativity, critical thinking, social skill and leadership skill. ASEIC is committed to create positive alternatives to youth offending, antisocial behavior and juvenile criminal activities.
