βοΈLONG POST BUT PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ: βοΈ
Iβd like to share a few realizations from our victories and defeats in the 3rd Cirilo Isabel Badelles Cup.
First, a heartfelt thank you to all the parents who continuously supported the club during practices and throughout the tournament. We would not have made it this far without your sacrifices, encouragement, and unwavering support.
Hats off to Coach Junas. He has the heart of a true champion and has inspired our kids to fight with courage and discipline. His strong and authoritative approach may be harsh at times, but it comes from a sincere desire to prepare the boys for the realities of competition and life. Through this environment, our children learn toughness, respect, discipline, and how to face difficulties.
Loyalty will always matter more than talent alone. No matter how far we go or how successful we become, we should never forget the people and the club that helped shape us. Growth is always welcome, and no mother club would stop a player from pursuing greater opportunities, but respect should always remain. What (β¦β¦.) did was not simply an act of disrespect, it was a violation of the values and discipline that our club stands for. If left unaddressed, such behavior could set a wrong example for the younger members who look up to senior players as role models. As a club, we must protect the culture of respect and loyalty that we are trying to build for the future generations of Blue Falcons.
My last realization is that confidence plays a huge role in a childβs growth. Even when they are in the losing odds, our kids achieved things others thought were impossible because they believed in themselves and gave their hearts in every game. As parents, coaches, mentors, and teammates, we must avoid words that weakens confidence. Instead, let us guide and uplift them with encouragement and kindness. We are responsible for helping mold them into confident and tough individuals.
To the remaining boys who showed up and fought until the end despite the challenges, this moment will forever be etched in our clubβs history. That a group of only eight undersized U16 Blue Falcons players, underestimated and counted out by many, rose above expectations and defeated fully capable teams to claim a remarkable 2nd place finish. What you achieved was not just about winning games, it was about proving that determination, teamwork, and heart can overcome any odds. Carry this experience with pride, because you did not only earn a medal, youβve earned Respect!π₯β½οΈ
