What is Matikas gameplay?
The easiest way to explain it is through martial arts.
Traditional martial arts and MMA share the same roots, but they approach combat differently. One may focus more on tradition and experience, while MMA focuses on movement, adaptation, and working within the rules.
Neither is wrong, they are simply different styles.
Airsoft is similar.
Some enjoy realism and immersion.
Others enjoy movement, competition, and active gameplay.
Both have a place in this hobby.
At Matikas, we embrace an active style of play, but we also adapt.
Competition is different from casual games.
MILSIM is different from open play.
Every site and event has its own culture and expectations, and we respect that.
What people often see are our competitive moments, which can create assumptions about how we play all the time.
But Matikas has never been about one style alone.
It is about adapting, teamwork, and building a positive community.
Over the years, we have seen more division between playstyles. We hope to promote the opposite, respect, positivity, and understanding that different styles can coexist.
Different styles. Same hobby. Same passion.
