Some finish lines are measured not only by distance, but by the climbs conquered, the descents endured and the resolve it takes to keep moving forward.

Congratulations to Tatay Ramon of Zambales Running Club for successfully finishing the Battle of Tirad Pass 100 Miles Ultramarathon 2026 Edition organized by Slowfootrunner Events, held from May 28 to 30, 2026.

Starting from Candon City and making his way to Gregorio del Pilar, Ilocos Sur, Tatay Ramon took on one of the country's most demanding ultramarathon routes. With more than 4,300 meters of elevation gain, relentless uphills, punishing downhills and 100 miles of rugged terrain, this was a challenge that tested far more than endurance alone.

Crossing the finish line in under 38 hours, well within the 48-hour cutoff, Tatay Ramon once again proved that experience, patience and determination can carry a runner through even the toughest battles.

This achievement also marks his 5th buckle, a milestone earned through years of dedication in the ultrarunning community, where buckles are most often awarded to those who conquer the grueling 100-mile distance.

The Battle of Tirad Pass pays tribute to Gen. Gregorio del Pilar and the brave men and women who stood and fought alongside him in their historic final stand at Tirad Pass. In the same spirit of courage and perseverance, Tatay Ramon carried himself across every mile of this remarkable journey.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Tatay Ramon’s support crew. Behind every successful ultramarathon finish is a team providing encouragement, care and unwavering support through every step of the challenge.

Congratulations, Tatay Ramon! Your fifth buckle is another testament to your strength, dedication and love for the sport.

Another uphill battle awaits our Zambales Running Club runners as Ryan, Mark, Glenn, Mrk and our father-son duos J***y and Patricc, plus Rhic and André, gear up for the upcoming Hataw Takbo Bataan - Orion Leg organized by Bataan Running Club.

With over 300+ meters of elevation gain, this back-to-back climbing leg is slowly convincing everyone that this is no longer just a fun run… it’s already a trail run slash hiking event in disguise. 😅

The adults will take on the challenging 16KM category, while our young runners Patricc and Alessandre bravely face the 10KM category.

Wishing all of you strong legs, steady pacing and safe strides on one of the toughest HTB legs yet. Enjoy the climb and represent ZRC well! 💚🧡🤎

📸 Special thanks to David Clark Photography, MT Adventures , Tulad ng Lens and Renshots for the great captures we used for this post.

Sometimes, the most meaningful journeys are the ones that lead us to serve others.

Last April 19, 2026, Zambales Running Club members joined Konekt-Sitio Nosil: Outreach Program 2026 in Sitio Nosil, Brgy. Binaritan, Morong, Bataan together with Sharing HANDS, Caring Hearts (SHCH).

From carrying supplies through a 600-meter trail and crossing bridges, to helping organize the medical mission, feeding program, games, gift-giving and community activities, every volunteer shared not just effort, but heart.

This yearly initiative of SHCH became a meaningful first outreach experience for ZRC, and we are truly grateful to have been invited to be part of something bigger than ourselves. Seeing smiles from the community, sharing meals together and simply being present reminded us what service and connection truly mean.

After the program, the team shared laughs, lunch and a refreshing side trip by the batis before heading home with full hearts and unforgettable memories.

To Sharing HANDS, Caring Hearts, thank you for trusting and welcoming a growing club like ours. And to all the volunteers who gave their time, energy and kindness, thank you for making this outreach possible.

This is only the first, never the last.

As one ZRC, we hope to continue creating more meaningful opportunities to help communities within and beyond Zambales, not only through running, but through service, compassion and connection.

💙 x 💚🧡🤎

Tough roads, steep climbs and another inspiring finish for ZRC.

Last May 16, 2026, Zambales Running Club member Tatay Ramon took on the challenging Hataw Takbo Bataan - Mariveles Leg 2026 organized by Bataan Running Club and proudly secured 2nd Place in the Male Senior Category.

With over 400+ meters of elevation, the Mariveles route was no easy task, but Tatay Ramon once again proved that running has no age limit when fueled by discipline, passion and determination.

As Tatay Ramon would always say, “Pitik-pitik lang.”

Congratulations, Tatay Ramon! Your ZRC family is proud of you.

Breaking barriers and chasing goals together at the Sub1 - Subic Bay Freeport Zone Challenge organized by JCIR Events Management last April 26, 2026.

Zambales Running Club members Nelmar and J***y took on the official Sub1 Challenge and delivered an inspiring performance side by side on the roads of Subic Bay. More than just chasing the clock, it was a display of teamwork and trust as J***y, one of the event’s raffle pacers, helped push and pace Nelmar all throughout the run. Their hard work paid off as both crossed the finish line with matching Sub1 times of 58:40.

Also representing ZRC was Poi, who joined the event through the regular race category and finished strong with a time of 01:12:05.

Congratulations to all our ZRC members for embracing the challenge, supporting one another and finishing with pride.

Special thanks to Jeremiah Vlogs and PapiTekz for capturing these memorable moments on the course.
