Swimming should be the first sport every child learns. Start them young.
Swimming is a basic life-saving skillβone that teaches discipline, builds confidence, and develops character in ways few other sports can.
We must teach our children that swimming is not just an activity, but a necessity, especially in these changing times. With stronger typhoons, rising floods, and other calamities, knowing how to swim is an essential tool for survival and resilience.
And beyond the skill itself, we must raise a generation that understands the value of the very water they swim inβwater that sustains us, unites us, and strengthens us as a people.
When children learn to swim, they also learn to respect, protect, and care for our environment. In doing so, we prepare them not only to survive, but to help build a safer, stronger, and more responsible future for our nation.
