NEWS | LPU Cavite Gears Up for LPU-C Games 2026
Preparations for the LPU Cavite Games 2026 officially began with a coordinating meeting held on February 4, 2026, led by the Center for Sports Development (CSD).
The meeting was facilitated by Coach Mary Rose Mojica, Head of the Center for Sports Development, who presented the initial plans and guidelines for the sports festival scheduled for March 16 to 20, 2026. This year's edition marks a significant development as employees will now participate alongside students, expanding the event's reach beyond its previous student-only setup.
Participating units include the colleges of CAMS, CBA, CCS, CFAD, CEA, CITHM, CON, and CLAE, along with the International School. A new competition system, adapted from National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) style tournament formats, will be introduced to bring a more structured and competitive flow to this year's games.
The roster of events features a wide range of athletic and special competitions, including Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Bench Yell, Esports, Chess, Mr. and Ms. LPU C Games, Pickleball, Street Dance, Table Tennis, and Volleyball. General ground rules, along with participation requirements for both student and employee players, were also discussed to ensure smooth and organized event operations.
This year, The Pioneer has been tapped as the official media partner, while Liceo Esports will serve as the partner for the Esports games. Featured game titles in the Esports category include Call of Duty Mobile, Valorant, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Tekken, highlighting the growing presence of competitive gaming in university events.
With early coordination now underway, the LPU Cavite community begins the countdown to C Games 2026, ready to showcase the unity, energy, and competitive spirit of the Lyceans once again.
