We also proudly recognize the other outstanding players of the ISU–E Chess Team who brought honor and pride to our campus through their remarkable performances.

In the Men’s Category, Alfonso Velasquez (Board 2) secured the Silver Medal, alongside Chester Gonzales (Board 3). Christian Lim and Marc Mabuti (Board 4) also delivered strong and commendable performances, earning Silver as well.

In the Women’s Category, Khristine Salazar (Board 1) claimed the Silver Medal, while Jasmine Cristobal (Board 3) earned Bronze via tiebreak. Meanwhile, Board 4 representatives Divina Belen and Arne Tabije finished in 4th place.

Their collective efforts reflect the depth of talent, discipline, and teamwork within the ISU–E Chess Team. Regardless of the results, we celebrate and congratulate each of you. Your dedication and courage to compete create a meaningful impact and continue to inspire others.

🔥🔥 𝐆𝐎𝐋𝐃𝐄𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐆𝐀𝐂𝐘 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐔𝐄𝐒! 🔥🔥

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐒𝐔-𝐄 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 has once again showcased its excellence and dominance in university-level chess by clinching its seventh consecutive championship title in the Women’s Category.

Meanwhile, securing back-to-back triumphs, the team successfully retained the Gold Medal in the Men’s Category. This held at University Meet 2026, from February 3–4 at the SM Cauayan.

This remarkable achievement reaffirms the team’s dedication, strategic prowess, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
