🚨 Runner Advisory 🚨

To our Athena Running Club members and the entire running community, please stay vigilant.

The City Government of Dumaguete has issued a public advisory regarding an unauthorized “Dumaguete Color Run” being promoted online. According to the LGU, this event does not have the required permits or authorization and has allegedly used the City’s official seals without permission.

Before registering for any race, always verify that the event is legitimate and properly coordinated with the appropriate authorities. Let’s protect ourselves and continue supporting safe, credible, and well-organized running events in our community.

The City Government of Dumaguete strongly alerts the public regarding an ongoing online scam involving a page named "Dumaguete Color Run."

This page is actively promoting a "Fun Run" event without the necessary permits, clearances, or authorization from the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Dumaguete. Furthermore, the organizers have unlawfully utilized the 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗹 to mislead the public into believing this is an official city-sanctioned event.
