Circa 2015: A group of young ultimate frisbee players from Davao sat in a corner of Perdices Stadium, searching for an identity. They wanted a name that captured their spirit—something fresh, chill, and carefree, yet quietly competitive.
As they brainstormed, Alphaville’s "Forever Young" seemed to play on every time during the tournament. The song became their spark. It was a reminder to live a life of impact and joy, and thus, the team name was born.
The hashtag was added for two reasons: it captured the rising digital era, and more importantly, it acted as a bold emphasis on the life they wanted to lead—one shared with friends who had truly become FamilY.
Ten years later, we return to the City of Gentle People. Our legs might be a little slower than they were a decade ago, but our purpose is even stronger. We are back in Dumaguete to compete, to remember and to celebrate the lifelong camaraderie we once forged here.
