In a hard fought battle with dominance, Diadi National High School (DNHS) spikers secured a bronze medal finish in the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Athletic Association (NVPAA) Meet, held at CLISOC, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya on February 3β6.
The achievement marks a proud first for the team, earning DNHS its very first medal in the said category of the NVPAA Meet post pandemic.
DNHS entered the tournament focused and prepared and defeated Villaverde, Kasibu, and Kayapa.
However, they suffered a setback against Solano who handed them their only loss in the eliminations.
Through consistent serves, blocks, and teamwork, DNHS proved they could compete with the strongest teams in the province.
In the semifinals, DNHS spikers faced Bayombong. Bayombong dominated DNHS spikers placing them in the battle for bronze.
Despite the loss moments, the team showed their strength and determination in the bronze medal match, where they defeated Bagabag to claim their place on the podium.
The team was coached by Mr. Rodolfo Gutierrez,Jr. and Mrs. Angelina B. Dulnuan.
