SACES Taekwondo Team Excels at DCAA 2025 Taekwondo Competition! 🥋✨
The SACES Taekwondo Team proudly showcased their talent, discipline, and unwavering determination at the DCAA 2025 Taekwondo Meet held on November 16, 2025, at Magallanes Elementary School. Competing in Poomsae event, our young athletes demonstrated exceptional skill and sportsmanship as they faced some of the strongest competitors in the city.
From powerful forms to intense sparring battles, every performance reflected the hard work and dedication poured into months of training. The SACES athletes stepped onto the mat with confidence, delivering remarkable routines and strategic matches that earned them well-deserved podium finishes.
🏅 POOMSAE ACHIEVEMENTS
In the Poomsae category, the SACES Taekwondo Team displayed grace, precision, and mastery of technique: The players received their medals during the awarding ceremony held on November 17,2025
• Individual Girls: Maria Bethany Habuchi earned Silver, impressing judges with her sharp ex*****on.
• Mixed Pair: Sage Jedidiah King & Meri Yael Digao secured Bronze, showing great synchronization and control.
• Team Boys: Jedidiah King, Theo Richard Binatero & Seth Gabriel Cifra captured Silver, showcasing strong teamwork and consistency.
• Team Girls: Habuchi, Digao & Erich Caballero dominated the category and proudly brought home the Gold Medal.
The SACES Taekwondo Team competed alongside fellow athletes from Unit 1 who competed the Kyurogi Event together with El Rheian Zack Villamor 4th place during the DCAA MEET 2025.
🥋 KYUROGI (SPARRING) VICTORIES
In the Kyurogi division, the Unit 1 fighters displayed strength, strategy, and a fierce fighting spirit:
• Boys Category 1: Ruel John Valeriano – Bronze Medalist
• Girls Category 1: Rhea Vernice Opada – Silver Medalist
• Category 2: Frencheska Abella – Bronze Medalist
• Category 3: Twinkle Cia Martinez – Silver Medalist
Each match highlighted their courage and ability to adapt under pressure—qualities that define true taekwondo athletes.

Despite experiencing minor injuries along the way, the SACES athletes pushed through with determination and heart. Their resilience paid off as the team concluded the event with an impressive medal tally:
