That’s a wrap on our first Checkpoint.
We put this comp together as something simple: a space to try, to learn, and to see where you’re at. For many, it was a first taste of comp bouldering. For others, a way to check progress. For us, it was also a chance to experience running a full event from qualifiers to finals and understand what we can do better next time.
To everyone who showed up, thank you.
To our setters Ron, Darwin, Neil, BJ, Jay, and Ian for putting up creative problems that kept people trying.
To our judges Doc Ken, Glaiza, Frankie, Iggy, and Jet for keeping things fair and running.
To our hosts Pipoy, Kyle, and Sam for holding the space together.
To our solo photographer Carlos for capturing it all.
To our reg/cafe duo Anne and Ai for keeping everything moving.
To our partners, especially Nozzled Studios for the cool trophies, and to Protein Partner, Project Underdog, and Ameena Bakes, thank you for being part of the event.
To the climbers who gave each problem an honest try.
To everyone who stayed, watched, cheered, and made the space feel alive.
You all made this what it was.
With that, we’re happy to present our podium winners:

We’ll keep building on this.
And soon, we take it a step further.
The Bouldurian Games are coming.
