The Dragons Del Sur (DDS) or “Dragons of the South” is a dragon boat team based in Davao City. MISSION:
It is our mission to promote the sport of Dragon Boat Racing and encourage a high standard of participation in the sport through trainings, competitions and other team activities. VISION:
Our vision is to produce a premier Davao City Dragon Boat Team that competes and excels both in local, natio

nal and international dragon boat races. A highly recognized Dragon Boat Team of the City Government of Davao who embodies the values and culture of a Dabawenyo. OUR LOGO:
The logo of the Dragons Del Sur uniquely represents the essence of this newly formed dragon boat team. A dual representation of a burning dragon eye and an open Durian fruit, it merges the extreme dragon boat sport and the proud Dabawenyo. The burning dragon eye signifies the awakened dragon, the passion for the sport and the intense competitiveness of the paddlers it represents. The open durian signifies a ripe durian fruit that is always at its best or peak condition. The four spikes represent both the dragon scales and the tough durian shell; four in number to signify the four Davao provinces (Davao del Sur, Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental and Davao Occidental), promoting unity.

🐉 2026 marks 12 Years of the Dragon Spirit 🌊

This year, the Dragons Del Sur Dragon Boat Team proudly celebrates 12 years of paddling, passion, resilience, and family.

For over a decade, the team has shared countless sunrises on the water, hard-fought races, victories, lessons, challenges, and unforgettable memories that shaped who we are today.

As we celebrate this milestone year leading up to our official anniversary this September 2026, we honor every paddler who became part of the journey — from the pioneers who started the dream to the new generation carrying the dragon spirit forward.

Thank you to all former and current members, supporters, friends, sponsors, and everyone who stood with the team through every season — especially those who continued believing in us during the toughest times and never stopped supporting the team.

Your faith, loyalty, and passion kept the dragon alive.
