FIRST WIN IN THE BAG! 🦅

The Holy Child Red Eagles - Senior squad held their ground in an absolute thriller, outlasting UM-Davao in overtime, 76-74, to capture their very first victory in the Escandor Collegiate Cup 2026 under Coach Rocky Mejos!

It was a gritty, high-stakes battle from the opening tip to the final buzzer:

✅2nd Quarter: Holy Child set the tone early, building a double-digit lead, 37–26.

✅3rd Quarter: UM-Davao mounted a ferocious comeback, but the Red Eagles stayed ahead, 48–43.

✅4th Quarter: A wild final period ended in a 74-74 deadlock, forcing an intense extra period.

✅Overtime: Holy Child executed down the stretch, making key plays to seal the two-point victory courtesy of Emran Datu Tamalla

Red Eagles Varsity Updates: SY 2026-2027

Parent consultations are currently underway for varsity scholarship renewals and new applications for the upcoming School Year 2026-2027!

The official reading and discussion of the Scholarship Contract was led by key school administrators and athletic leaders: Ma. Chrystella Suzette I. Velasco, PhD – Chief Operating Officer, Janeth Maamo – Guidance and Scholarship Officer, Anilyn R. Olorvida – Branch Head, Gaye Banguis – OIC Academics Officer, Eno Barona – Special Projects and Coach Carreon & Eric Salumbides – Sports Office / Varsity Leadership.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our parents and guardians for their steadfast partnership in shaping the academic and athletic journeys of our student-athletes.
