To address the concerns raised during the recently concluded SC70, we reached out to all involved runners. Each person was spoken to individually, and we reviewed the information obtained, including GPX records. Everyone was given the space to share their perspective and be heard. We then held a group meeting so all parties could speak directly to one another in a respectful environment, free from shame or hostility.
These efforts were made to preserve the integrity of our organization and, more importantly, the dignity of our participants.
We appreciate the dedication shown from training and preparation up to the race, the hard work on race day, and the contributions made afterward to ensure fairness. Thank you to those who remained composed and stayed true to their values throughout this process. Trail running, like any sport, challenges not only physical endurance but also resilience and character.
No race is without flaws, especially on the trails, but we believe the steps we’ve taken are enough to close this matter. We hope the experience serves as a lesson for everyone involved.
We do not condone public shaming or hate, and we stand by the principles of sportsmanship.
We remain proud of our athletes who continue to pursue this passion and embrace it as a path for personal growth. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed.
To all participants of SC70 2025, thank you for being part of this event. We are proud of what each of you brought to the race. Congratulations to all.
