Davao City Police Office, under the leadership of PCOL HANSEL M MARANTAN, Acting City Director, remains steadfast in its campaign to eradicate illegal drugs across the city.

On May 20, 2025, Police Station 8 – Toril, led by Station Commander PMAJ SHERYL Y BAUTISTA, successfully conducted a buy-bust operation in Purok McLeod, Brgy. Daliao, Toril, Davao City. The operation resulted in the arrest of alias “Buddy” and alias “James,” and the confiscation of suspected shabu and ma*****na leaves worth ₱162,635.60.
Kudos to the dedicated men and women of PS8–Toril. Your hard work, vigilance, and unwavering dedication are vital in our ongoing mission to protect lives and secure a better future for the next generation.

This achievement is more than a law enforcement milestone—it is a crucial step forward in safeguarding our communities from the devastating impact of illegal drugs. Dangerous substances like shabu fuel crime, destroy families, and jeopardize the future of our youth. They are a menace that undermines peace and hinders the progress of our beloved city.

While this operation marks a significant victory, the fight is far from over. We must remain relentless, proactive, and united. DCPO stands firm in its multi-faceted approach to ending the drug menace. But law enforcement cannot do it alone—we need the active participation of every Davaoeño.

I call on our barangay leaders, local officials, and community members to stay vigilant and report any illegal activities. Together, let us protect our homes, defend our youth, and build a stronger, safer, and drug-free Davao City.
