Happy Mother’s Day from La Tortue Diving Center 🫧

A close relative of the seahorse, the female Robust ghost pipefish carries and protects her eggs beneath her body using specially adapted fins that form a brood pouch — unlike seahorses, where males carry the babies.

Different species, different strategies, same extraordinary responsibility of creating and protecting life.
