MANILA, Philippines - The PBA Commissioner's Office has officially approved the trade sending veteran guards Maverick Ahanmisi and Aljon Mariano from Barangay Ginebra San Miguel to the Terrafirma Dyip.

The swap grants Ahanmisi the fresh start he had requested, relocating him to Terrafirma where he will now team up with his younger brother, Jerrick Ahanmisi. In exchange, the Gin Kings receive Terrafirma's highly valuable 2027 first-round draft pick, an asset that will bolster Ginebra's future roster flexibility.

The move marks the end of an era for Aljon Mariano, who spent a decade and won seven championships with Ginebra. For Terrafirma, the addition of the experienced Ahanmisi and Mariano provides two immediate, proven contributors as they aim to improve their standing in the league.
