Camarines Norte secures 1st gold at Palarong Bicol 2026

LEGAZPI CITY - Camarines Norte Athletic Delegation captured its first gold medal in the Palarong Bicol 2026 after Jomelyn Cortez dominated the 1,500-meter run in the secondary girls division.

Cortez, coached by Margille Lyn Olalo, delivered a strong performance that gave Camarines Norte its breakthrough victory in the regional sports meet.

The win marked the province’s first gold medal of the competition which boosted the morale for the rest of the delegation as they continue their campaign in various sporting events.
