Thresher Shark Divers The original and only Thresher Shark Divers. The Pioneers of Diving on Malapascua Island in the Phi
(1146)

Malapascua Island is famous as the only place in the world where thresher sharks can be seen every day. We also have some of the best and most varied diving in the Philippines - whitetip sharks, rays, wrecks and reefs, wall dives and muck dives, beautiful coral gardens, mating mandarin fish, frogfish, seahorses, nudibranchs galore, and amazing macro. TSD offers daily diving in small groups with ex

perienced divemasters in a fun environment. We teach a full range of PADI courses from beginner Open Water and up, including Instructor, Internships and Technical. We can arrange a complete dive package with rooms, meals and airport transfers.

It’s where you’ll always find us! If not at Kimud Shoal with the thresher sharks, then maybe at Gato Island searching for macro amongst the stunning corals or around Malapascua itself on the search for nudibranchs, sea moths, frogfish, seahorses and so much more!

Thanks to for the reel!

Malapascua is famous for thresher sharks - and rightly so! But Gato island has a special place in our hearts, with incredible hard and soft corals, an immense array of macro life as well as white tip reef sharks and sea snakes.

Here’s Archie’s take on a trip to Gato, with the ubiquitous bag of pandesal, local bread rolls.

We challenged some of our current - and former - divemaster trainees to make some reels, we’ll be sharing them over the next couple days and at the end of the week the one with the most comments, likes or shares will get a prize!

Here is a reel with a little bit of everything - Kimud shoal, Gato Island and Malapascua’s reefs as well. From pelagic thresher sharks and octopuses, Pegasus sea moths to frog fish, what more could you wish for?

We challenged some of our current - and former - divemaster trainees to create reels from some of the dives they’ve done at the many fantastic dive sites we have here. We’re sharing those reels with you and the one with the most comments, likes and shares will win a prize!

Thanks Luisa for the reel!

We dive with the thresher sharks almost every single day of the year… and yet it never gets old!
It’s always a pleasure to introduce divers to these beautiful sharks, or to welcome back familiar faces who just can’t get enough of them!

And… it’s competition time! We’ve challenged some of current (and former!) divemaster trainees to make reels at the fantastic dive sites we have here. Over the next couple days we’ll be sharing their reels and at the end of the week the one with the most engagement will get a prize!

What was making us celebrate like this? A whale shark at Kimud shoal this morning!!

We had an epic dive, with the first thresher appearing within the first 3 minutes of the dive, and plenty more circling at the cleaning stations the entire dive, and the absolute cherry on the top - the whale shark 😍

Unfortunately the visibility was limited and despite a close encounter we didn’t get a good video of the whale shark 🥹

What sighting would inspire you to dance underwater?

Thank you Pia .onset for the video!
