Divergems Hostel & Diving Center will be having a Pool party featuring DJ Tomix of BRIGADA FM CEBU. We are inviting everyone to join with us this coming November 4,2023. Entrance fee is only 100 pesos with 1 free local beer of your choice. Fun will starts at 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM. See you!!!

A thorny seahorse found at 20m deep in lapus 1 divesite off the coast of malapascua island. Such a lovely and cute critter is found in the sandy slope trying to hide in plain sight as it has camouflaged itself beautifully.
Thorny or Spiny Seahorse (Hippocampus histrix) is a small bony fish of the Syngnathidae family that lives in the Indo-Pacific region and is classed as endangered/vulnerable. The snout is longer than most other seahorse species, and its colouration depends on its geographical location and environmental surroundings.

Fun fact: did you know that male seahorses carry their babies instead of the females? Interesting ain’t it?

Thresher sharks (alopias) are large lamniform sharks of the family Alopiidae found in all temperate and tropical oceans of the world; the family contains three extant species, all within the genus Alopias. All three thresher shark species have been listed as vulnerable to extinction by the World Conservation Union since 2007. The uniqueness of it is that these majestic pelagic creatures are found in the waters of malapascua as it is one of the only places in the world that has cleaning stations for them.

Literally, monad shoal is the Imperial Spa of the shark world 😂😂😂
