The Lord is Saying Over You...

Stones will praise Me. Will you praise Me even before you see the miracle manifest? Watch Me work where you have given up hope. Watch what I will do when you fill your heart with praises. From the dark chaos, I will bring forth beauty, abundant life, and radiant light. Even this day you will see the beginning of all I have planned for you when you look to Me and to Me alone.

So Abraham waited patiently in faith and succeeded in seeing the promise fulfilled. It is very common for people to swear an oath by something greater than themselves, for the oath will confirm their statements and end all disputes. So in the same way, God wanted to end all doubt and confirm it even more forcefully to those who would inherit his promises. His purpose was unchangeable, so God added his vow to the promise. So it is impossible for God to lie for we know that his promise and his vow will never change! And now we have run into his heart to hide ourselves in his faithfulness. This is where we find his strength and comfort, for he empowers us to seize what has already been established ahead of time—an unshakeable hope!

Back in the day, Stallone was a struggling actor in every definition. At some point, he got so broke that he stole his wife’s jewelry and sold it. Things got so bad that he even ended up homeless. Yes, he slept at the New York bus station for 3 days. Unable to pay rent or afford food. His lowest point came when he tried to sell his dog at the liquor store to any stranger. He didn’t have money to feed the dog anymore. He sold it at $25 only. He says he walked away crying.
Two weeks later, he saw a boxing match between Mohammed Ali and Chuck Wepner and that match gave him the inspiration to write the script for the famous movie, ROCKY. He wrote the script for 20 hours! He tried to sell it and got an offer for $125,000 for the script. But he had just ONE REQUEST. He wanted to STAR in the movie. He wanted to be the MAIN ACTOR, Rocky himself. But the studio said NO. They wanted a REAL STAR.
They said he “Looked funny and talked funny”. He left with his script. A few weeks later, the studio offered him $250,000 for the script. He refused. They even offered $350,000. He still refused. They wanted his movie, but NOT him. He said NO. He had to be IN THAT MOVIE.
After a while, the studio agreed, gave him $35,000 for the script and let him star in it! The rest is history! The movie won Best Picture, Best Directing and Best Film Editing at the prestigious Oscar Awards. He was even nominated for BEST ACTOR! The Movie ROCKY was even inducted into the American National Film Registry as one of the greatest movies ever!
NO ONE KNOWS WHAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF EXCEPT YOURSELF! People will judge you by HOW you look. And by WHAT you have. But Fight on! Fight for Your place in history. Fight for your glory. NEVER EVER GIVE UP!
Even if it means selling all your clothes and sleeping with the dogs, IT’S OKAY! But AS LONG AS YOU ARE STILL ALIVE, Your STORY IS NOT OVER.
Keep Up the Fight. Keep your dreams and hope alive. Go get it !!!

P.S. After the movie came out he tracked down the guy who bought his dog and bought it back for 10k.

THE FISHERMAN AND HIS SON

A Short Moral Story.

A young lad asked his fisherman father,
"Papa, is it okay to tell people about my goals and dreams in life?"

The fisherman was silent for a moment, then asked,
"Why do you want to know that?"

The young lad answered,
"Well, papa, I have many big dreams, really big! I want to be of impact in all areas of life, to my generation and all aspects of life. However, I don't know if I should or shouldn't tell people about these dreams I have."

The fisherman smiled, then said,
"You know what... let's go catch some fish in the river. And then, we will continue this conversation, okay?"

At that moment, the fisherman and his son took their fishing equipment and went fishing. At the river, they put a piece of bait on the hook and casted the fishing rod into the river to catch a fish.

A few hours later, they had already caught a lot of fish and their basket was almost filled. The fisherman then stopped, pointed at the basket, and said to his son,

"Take a look at all these fish in the basket. They've been caught by the hook, and their fate is now different from that of those in the river. These fish have lost everything in their lives; their families, friends and home. Sadly, they will have to suffer and be killed in a gruesome way. Some will be fried, some baked, some berbecued, some grilled, some steamed, etc. Do you know why they have to go through much misfortune?"

The boy thought for a minute, then shook his head and said,
"I don't know, papa. Tell me."

The fisherman took a deep breath, and then whistled,
"Well, it is because they couldn't close their mouths. It is stated that a fish with a closed mouth never gets caught by the hook. It never falls a victim."

Upon saying that, the fisherman patted his son's shoulder, smiled and then continued,

"Son, this is what happens in real life. Many people have failed and lost everything they ever acquired in life because they opened their mouths too wide and told other people about their dreams and plans. A good reason to guard your senses and keep your mouth shut about upcoming projects is that most people do not want to see you succeed. This is a piece of advice to save your plans from being sabotaged by people who envy you. You should never announce your dreams until they are close to completion. Many people will do everything in their power to send a dagger through your chest just to ensure you don't succeed. A closed mouth never gets into trouble. Keep your big move a secret. Move in silence. Take action, and shock people with your results."

Stood-out while the others do the same!

🔥In 1984, Nike did something crazy.

👉They paid a $410,000 fine just to let Michael Jordan wear black sneakers on court.

👉Back then, the NBA had a strict rule saying that if a player wears a pair of basketball shoes, "they MUST be 51% white."

👉If this rule was broken, you'd have to pay a $5,000 fine per game.

👉Over a 82-game season, this adds up to $410,000 in penalties.

👉But Nike being Nike, they sent Jordan onto court wearing a pair of black and red sneakers - which INSTANTLY stood out, since everyone else's feet were white.

👉These shoes were the first edition of what we know today as the Air Jordan 1s.

👉So when people started talking about how "the NBA fined a guy for wearing some insanely good-looking shoes," Nike knew that their marketing masterclass was paying off.

👉All this drama and controversy made Jordans the talk of the town for a week or so, and it catapulted Nike's sales to crazy heights.

🔥By the end of the season, Mike Jordan became the NBA Rookie of the year.

“Did you know….An oyster that has not been wounded in any way does not produce pearls???

A pearl is a healed wound.

- Pearls are a product of pain, the result of a foreign or unwanted substance entering the oyster, such as a parasite or a grain of sand.

- The inside of an oyster shell is a shiny substance called “nacre.”
When a grain of sand enters, the nacre cells go to work and cover the grain of sand with layers and more layers to protect the defenseless body from the oyster. As a result, a beautiful pearl is formed!

- The more pearls, the more valuable…

- God never allows pain without a purpose.
What if your greatest ministry to others comes out of your greatest hurt or deepest wounds?

The hard things we may be going through now are really nothing in comparison to the glory that will be revealed in us later. (Romans 8:17-18)”

TIP # 1: Change Your Environment!

Kahit ano pang gusto mong umasenso, kung madalas mong kausap at kasama ay yung mga tamad at walang goals sa buhay, wala din!

Kasi sigurado mai-impluwensyahan nila ang mga desisyon at aksyon mo!

Piliin mo ng mabuti sino yung mga taong palagi mong kasama.

Sumama ka sa mga taong magpupush at mag-i-inspire sa'yo na abutin yung mga goals mo sa buhay.

Wag dun sa mga taong pipigilan ka at hihilahin ka pa pababa.

TIP # 2: Change Your Habits

Pag gising mo sa umaga, ano yung mga unang ginagawa mo?

Gumagawa ka ba ng mga aksyon para abutin yung mga pangarap mo?

Hataw ka ba agad para sa mga goals mo?

Or scroll ka lang ng scroll sa social media?

Itrain, sanayin at pilitin mo ang sarili mo na gumawa ng mga bagay na productive.

I-schedule mo yung mga kailangan mong gawin.

Wag mong hayaan na lalagpas ang isang araw na wala kang nagawa para sa mga pangarap mo.

Eventually magiging habit mo na yan.

Tandaan mo, kung ano ang araw-araw na ginagawa mo, yun ang magde decide ng future mo.

TIP # 3: Change Your Mindset & Beliefs

Lahat ng gusto mo, kailangan mauna yun mangyari sa isipan mo.

Remove any limiting mindset at beliefs.

Example yung mga paniniwalang…

“Pinanganak akong mahirap, mamamatay akong mahirap!”

Or yung…

“Hindi ako nakapagtapos, kaya hanggang dito na lang ako.”

O kaya naman yung…

“Hindi para sakin ang pagnenegosyo, wala naman akong alam dyan.”

Itapon mo sa basurahan 'yang mindset na yan.

Dapat magkaroon ka ng mga empowering beliefs at mindset.

Sabihin mo sa sarili mo…

“Kung nagawa ng iba, kaya ko rin.”

“Lahat pwedeng matutunan, lahat may paraan.”

Tandaan mo…

Your mindset, your environment and your habits…

Yan ang magko-control ng future mo.

‼️THE SAD REALITY‼️

Bilang isang negosyante, kapag nakakakita ako ng ganito ay na-eexcite akong mag inquire at iniisip kung ano ang magandang ilagay na business pero behind that excitement is the sad emotions na kumusta kaya yung dating nag rerenta dito? Bakit nag close e ang sasarap naman nong mga pagkain nila.

Then we realized that in business hindi laging pasko. May araw na talagang di ka magkanda ugaga sa dami ng orders at may araw na bokya talaga. Ang negosyo ay hindi parang sa opisina na kahit di ka mag exert ng effort ay may sahod kang hinihintay. Ibang iba sa negosyo, hindi mo alam kung papatok o hindi. Hindi mo alam kung hanggang kailan pero ang sigurado ay wag kang titigil mag innovate at ipaglaban ang pangarap mo.

Marahil down ka ngayon pero lagi mong tandaan na ang mga nagtatagumpay ay yung mga hindi sumusuko dahil kapag sumuko ka wala ng chance na maabot mo yung goal mo. Kapag nagpa tuloy ka ay mas may malaking chance na makakamit mo ang success.

*Parokya ni Edgar Story

Chito Miranda: Nung nagsisimula pa lang kami bilang banda, di kami binabayaran para tumugtog.

Like most bands sa underground/indie music scene nung time na yun, wala kaming talent fee.

Masaya na kami basta makatugtog kung saan saan, kahit walang bayad.

Sa katunayan, abonado pa nga kami kasi sagot namin ang pamasahe namin papuntang gigs (or sagot ni Dindin yung gas kasi may kotse sya hehe), at sagot din namin yung pagkain at drinks namin kung saan man kami tutugtog.

We did that for years.

The 1st time we got paid was at Club Dredd. Naimbitahan kami bilang front act, and we agreed to play for free as usual, but after playing, the owner (Patrick Reidenbach) decided to pay us P300.

I guess natuwa sya sa amin.

Either that, or naawa lang talaga sya. Kasi ang sabi nya sa amin, "gamitin ninyo yan pang-practice".

P300 meant 3 hours na practice time sa Alberto's Band Rehearsal Studio.

After a few more months, we got paid again.

This time we got P800.

And this was during the so-called "Golden Age" of Pinoy Bands nung 90's.

We weren't earning at all but we couldn't care less. We had no money to buy our own instruments, but we kept on playing. We had no intentions of quitting school (or in Dar's case: his day job), and hindi namin inisip na kelangan kumita kami sa pagbabanda.

We did it simply because it was fun.

1996 nung naglabas kami ng album. 1997 na nung unang nakabili ng sariling gitara si Gab worth P6000.

Can you imagine? 4 years na kaming tumutugtog, at 1 year na kaming may album, bago kami mabayaran ng enough money para maka-afford ng sariling gitara si Gab.

Si Gloc nga dati, nakakadalawang album na, pero nagtatrabaho pa rin sya bilang waiter. Pero di sya sumuko. He focused on what he wanted to achieve and worked hard for it. (ngayon kaya na nya bilin yung restaurant. hehe!)

Ganun kasi talaga yun. Kelangan mo paghirapan.

Kung mataas ang pangarap mo, then you need to work harder than everyone else...kasi kung ganun lang kadali yun, then everyone else would be doing it.

Ganun din sa pag nenegosyo, madalas sa umpisa lugi ka dahil puro ka abono. At hindi palaging bawi agad ang pinuhunan mo. Minsan few years ang bibilangin. Pero kung mahal mo ang ginagawa mo, masaya ka habang ginagawa at ene enjoy mo lang, mas magiging magaan ang operations. MAGTATAGUMPAY KA!
