Every dive shop has a story. But the story of Safety Stop Diveshop didn't begin with a big office or a fleet of boats.
It started with a group of friends in Coron who shared a simple dream to build something around their love for the ocean.
Like many dreams, the journey didn't go exactly as planned. Because of certain circumstances, the original path changed and only one person continued to carry the vision forward.
That person is Reynaldo BaroΓ±a, known to many simply as " Kuya Al. "
Kuya Al believed that diving could be more than just a business. His vision was to create opportunities for locals of Coron, teaching proper diving skills, following international standards, and helping locals grow in the industry until they become professional Divemasters.
In November of 2017, that vision officially became Safety Stop Diveshop .
In the beginning, it was humble. A small office to welcome guests, rented boats for dive trips, and a team driven mostly by passion and hard work
But dive after dive, guest after guest, the story slowly grew.
Today, Safety Stop Diveshop continues to share the incredible underwater world of coron with divers from around the world. While staying true to the vision it started with: supporting locals, practicing safe diving, and creating unforgettable experiences above and below the surface.
From a small beginning to where we are today, one thing has never changed.
The ocean is still our home. And every diver who joins us becomes part of the story.
