𝙋𝙂𝙄𝙎 𝘿𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝘾𝙤𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙣-𝙐𝙥 𝙞𝙣 𝙎𝙖𝙣 𝙀𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙗𝙖𝙣

In support of the Ilocos Sur Resilience Festival 2026, the PGIS Dive Center took part in the coastal clean-up spearheaded by the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) on 29 July 2026 at Brgy. Apatot, San Esteban, Ilocos Sur.

Joining provincial government employees, local DRRM offices, the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), civil society organizations, and community volunteers, the PGIS Dive Center team worked together to remove marine debris and help preserve the area's coastal ecosystem.

This collective effort reflects our shared commitment to environmental stewardship, disaster resilience, and the protection of our coastal communities.

PTDPO and PGIS Dive Center, together with UNP Marine Biology OJT students, conducted a dive assessment and management review at Cabangtalan Cove, Sinait, Ilocos Sur to evaluate its potential for scuba diving, freediving and snorkeling, while strengthening marine conservation efforts of the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur and the LGU of Sinait. 🤿🌊

𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗬𝗢𝗡! 𝗔𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗼𝘆

The PGIS Dive Center, together with the Provincial Tourism Development and Promotion Office, successfully conducted a Dive Assessment in Cabangtalan, Sinait, Ilocos Sur last 14-15 May 2026.

The assessment explored the area’s underwater potential and identified possible dive spots that may soon offer exciting activities such as Scuba Diving, Freediving, and Snorkeling. With its rich marine beauty and promising coastal waters, the municipality continues to show great potential as one of Ilocos Sur’s emerging tourism destinations.

Another step forward in showcasing the beauty beneath our waters and promoting sustainable coastal tourism in the Heritage Province of Ilocos Sur.
