๐ข UKFP Advisory for All Members โ Safety and AgeโCategory Guidelines for the 8th PNKT
As we prepare for the 8th Philippine National Kendo Tournament (PNKT) on October 24โ25, 2026, the United Kendo Federation of the Philippines (UKFP) reminds all affiliated clubs that the federationโs Child Protection and Safe Sport standards will be strictly upheld throughout the event.
In accordance with the UKFP Disciplinary Code (Board Resolution 2025โ12), the UKFP maintains a zeroโtolerance policy toward:
- Abuse or exploitation
- Harassment or grooming
- Bullying or intimidation
- Any form of endangerment of minors
Where minors are involved, the best interests of the child are always paramount. Protective measures apply, and violations may result in sanctions under the Disciplinary Code, including mandatory reporting where required by law.
To ensure safety and compliance, the UKFP reminds all clubs that adultโversusโminor matchups will not be permitted at the 8th PNKT. This policy is not a reflection of any minorโs skill or capability; it is a matter of safeguarding participants and upholding federation standards.
For clarity, athletes who are 18 years old and above are regarded as adults and may participate in the adult categories.
We thank all clubs for their cooperation and commitment to maintaining the safety, fairness, and integrity of Philippine kendo.
