CALLING ALL YOUNG JIU-JITSU ATHLETES OF CEBU CITY!

We are calling on all young and aspiring Jiu-Jitsu athletes ages 8 to 15 years old who are residents of Cebu City to step forward and become part of the Cebu City Niños Team!

This is your chance to showcase your skills, dedication, discipline, and passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu while proudly representing the City of Cebu at Batang Pinoy 2026, happening this coming December 12–18, 2026.

We are looking for young athletes who are ready to train hard, learn, compete, and give their very best inside and outside the mats. Being part of the Cebu City Niños is not only about winning medals it is about developing discipline, confidence, sportsmanship, perseverance, and the heart of a true champion.

WHO CAN JOIN?

Jiu-Jitsu athletes 8 to 15 years old
Residents of Cebu City
Young athletes with a passion for Jiu-Jitsu
Willing to undergo training, selection, and screening
Committed to representing Cebu City with pride, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Every stroke, every lap, and every second counts as they continue to chase their dream of making it to the Cebu City Niño’s lineup and earning the opportunity to represent Cebu City at the Batang Pinoy Games in Bacolod this coming December 2026.

Basketball Coaches Seminar in Cebu City
An inspiring and meaningful gathering of basketball coaches, leaders, and sports advocates at the Basketball Coaches Seminar, dedicated to strengthening coaching excellence, developing young athletes, and promoting the continued growth of basketball in Cebu City and throughout the region.

We are honored to have with us Cebu City Sports Commission Chairman Dr. Rhoel James Timothy O. Dejaño and Cebu City Sports Commission Executive Director Rafael S. Alcoseba, whose leadership and commitment continue to support the development of sports and athletes in the city.

Joining this important event is SBP Region VII Director Josemaria Rafael Navarro, sharing valuable insights and strengthening the connection between grassroots basketball development and the broader basketball community.

We are also privileged to learn from Alexander “Sandy” Arespacochaga, a respected basketball coach who has been involved with Gilas Pilipinas and the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). His experience, knowledge, and passion for the game provide valuable lessons for coaches who continue to inspire and develop the next generation of Filipino basketball players.
