We would like to congratulate our Catbalogan Pongers who have garnered achievements in the recent 1st Tacloban Regional Summer League Table Tennis Tournament last March 2 & 3, 2024 at the Robinson’s North, Abucay, Tacloban City.

Beginner’s Event (Champion) - Andrew Orbong
Executive Event (Champion) - Marcus De Jesus
Singles Open Category -
* Champion - John Warren Polido
* 2nd runner up - Zaldy Jabinar
Team Event Category (Champion) - Mark Greg Orbong, John Warren Polido, and Zaldy Jabinar

Despite having no proper venue for training and game practices, some of the Catbalogan Pongers managed to win in the tournament. If we can achieve something out of nothing, then we can definitely do much better if we have proper equipments and place to train and play, especially the young athletes who are passionate to be the best to represent the city of Catbalogan.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to our City Mayor, Mayor Dexter Uy, for the support that was given to CSTTC and made it possible for us to participate in the said tournament.

Day 1: (No Lunch break)

8:00m-9:00am - Registration

9:30am-10am - Opening Program

10am-1pm - Start of the 1st round matches for
13under mix, 17&under mix and Executive mix singles, Womens

1pm-4pm - Start of the 1st round matches for Open Singles

4pmm-8pm - Start of the 1st round matches for Team Event

Day 2: (No lunch break)

8:30am-9:30am - warm up to all players

9:30am-12:30pm- Start of the 2nd round matches up to championship matches for 13&under mix, 17&under mix, Executive and Womens

12:30pm-5:00pm - Start of the 2round up to championship matches for Team event and Mens Open

5:00pm-7:00pm - Awarding

Tournament Guidelines:

For Team Event:
- S/D/S Format
- 3-4 players per team
- First round will be round robin
- 2nd round will be elimination round
- Only 1 team will proceed to 2nd round

For all Single's Event:
- 1st round will be round robin
- 2nd round will be elimination round
- Only 1 player will proceed to the 2nd round

(We will strictly implement 10mins default time)

All games is best of 5
