𝗝𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝗦𝗞 – 𝗟𝗬𝗗𝗖 𝟮𝗡𝗗 𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚

The Joint Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) and Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) 2nd Quarter Meeting was successfully convened on June 18, 2026 (Thursday) at the Executive Lounge, Municipal Building, Cataingan.

The meeting, presided over by Hon. Hannah Nicole G. Gonzales, Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President of Masbate, served as an avenue for youth leaders and representatives to discuss updates, accomplishments, plans, and initiatives aimed at strengthening youth participation and development in the municipality.

During the meeting, DILG MLGOO Jesusa N. Margallo presented the Roles and Responsibilities of Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson and SKIT, Activities, and Suggested Timelines. She likewise discussed an order creating the Sangguniang Kabataan Inventory and Team in connection with the 2026 Regular Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections.

Hon. Hannah G. Gonzales highlighted the youth sector participation for the Bagat Dagat Festival 2026 and led them in developing initiatives and activities.

Ms. Melanie C. Mechavez, Local Youth Development Officer III, presented the SK agenda including the submission of the Annual Barangay Youth Investment Program (ABYIP) 2026, and the LYDC agenda including strengthening advocacies by seeking partnership with SK officials.

The meeting concluded with Mayor Alvin Co Adoptante, Municipal Mayor, reminding youth leaders of the true purpose of a public servant and encouraging them to continue leading and serving with heart for their community.

𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗗𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗢𝗣𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗠𝗔𝗜𝗡 𝗕𝗨𝗜𝗟𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚

The Youth Development Office is now back at its office located on the 2nd Floor of the LGU Main Building and is ready to serve the public.

We are open Monday to Thursday, from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, to assist clients with youth-related programs, services, and concerns.

We look forward to serving you and continuing our commitment to empowering and developing the youth and the community.

𝗚𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 (𝗚𝗜𝗣) 𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

𝟯 𝗶𝗻-𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 successfully attended the online Government Internship Program Orientation via Google Meet, held today, June 3, 2026 (Wednesday).

The orientation served as a platform to discuss the expectations of GIP functions and obligations, the schedule of deployment and monitoring, and the evaluation activity/provision of stipend.

Through this program, the 3 government interns will engage in public service. The internship also serves as a training ground for professional and personal growth.

Overall, this program promotes youth development by equipping young people with practical experience and values for nation-building.

We are highly encouraging all youth (aged 18-30) of Cataingan to register today! Your vote is your power to shape a better future, and the first step to that is registering.

Be a registered voter, let your voice be heard, and make a change!

𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦:

1. Fill out one (1) copy of the application form, which is available for FREE at the Office of the Election Officer (OEO) or you can download the application form.

2. Go to the OEO to submit the required documents and have your biometrics taken.

3. Get the acknowledgment stub, which serves as proof that you have submitted your application.

𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗘: You are NOT yet a registered voter after going to the Office of the Election Officer. Your application still needs to be approved in a hearing conducted quarterly by the Election Registration Board.
