Clark, two rounds in two days, and it rained the whole weekend.
Rounds 6 and 7 of the 2026 T4 Series Philippines ran at the Clark International Speedway Kart Track on August 29 and 30. Double points on both days, wet from Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon.
The wet was the thing Miguel had been working hardest on and still the thing he was slowest in. A week earlier he was a full second a lap off in the rain. So, of course, the race weekend turned up as the exact weather he was worst in.
He won three of the six sessions in his category.
Round 6
Heat 1: P1
Heat 2: P1
Final: P3
Round 7
Heat 1: P1
Heat 2: P4
Final: P3
Saturday's final went wrong on lap one, when he tried to dive down the inside of another driver and it did not come off.
He crossed the line first in Sunday's final after a breathtaking overtake on the last turn of the last lap, but a 5-second penalty for a dropped front bumper moved him to P3. We are still waiting for that first P1 in a final. He has never been closer to it.
What we are proudest of is not any of the wins. He arrived a second a lap off in the wet and by Sunday morning he was one of the quickest Cadet on track in it, and that took him two days.
Coach Yuan got him there. He has changed the way Miguel drives in the rain, and we are grateful every weekend that he is the one in Miguel's corner.
Thank you also to our whole DRIFT MOTOR Racing Team, to the Bugayong family, and to Axel Motorsports Gruppe. Christian and Kiel rebuilt the whole wet setup the week before and it did the job.
And to all the families on the team who supported us and celebrated with us, and to everyone around the paddock who passed on advice and support over the two days, we appreciated every bit of it.
Round 8 is at Carmona on September 12 and 13. Double points again.
Miguel Bautista, #152, T4 Cadet
