July 26, 2026 — TWA Bounces Back Strong Against DPCNHS

Tayabas Western Academy returned to winning form with a commanding straight-set victory over Dr. Panfilo Castro National High School (DPCNHS) during the Inter-School Sports Competition held at the Candelaria Municipal Covered Court.

TWA wasted no time asserting its dominance, taking control of the opening set with an impressive 25-14 win through consistent attacks and solid teamwork.

The momentum carried into the second set as TWA continued to dictate the pace of the match. Despite DPCNHS's efforts to respond, TWA maintained its composure and sealed the set, 25-16, to complete the straight-set victory.

With this impressive performance, Tayabas Western Academy keeps its campaign alive and remains on track in the Inter-School Sports Competition, showcasing determination and resilience as the tournament progresses.

July 26, 2026 — TWA Falls to EUC, Misses Twice-to-Beat Advantage

Tayabas Western Academy (TWA) fell short in its bid to secure the coveted twice-to-beat advantage after suffering a defeat against Enverga University Candelaria (EUC) in their matchup held at the Candelaria Municipal Covered Court.

TWA came out strong in the opening set, building a comfortable lead and displaying solid teamwork and determination to take the early advantage, 25-16.

However, the momentum shifted in the second set as the EUC Jaguars mounted a strong comeback. Capitalizing on key plays and consistent ex*****on, EUC narrowly escaped with a 25–23 victory to level the match at one set apiece and put TWA on the defensive.

The deciding third set saw TWA make every effort to regain control of the game, but the Jaguars remained composed under pressure. EUC maintained its momentum and claimed the final set, 15–11, to seal the match.

With the win, Enverga University Candelaria secured the twice-to-beat advantage, while Tayabas Western Academy will look to bounce back stronger in its next match.

The challenge continues as Tayabas Western Academy (TWA) Men’s Volleyball Team faces the DPCNHS Warriors in Game 16 of the Inter-School Volleyball Competition 2026.
