Forty-nine points in 48 minutes.

On this day April 10, 1999, the post-dynasty Chicago Bulls hit rock bottom, setting the all-time shot-clock-era record for the lowest-scoring game in NBA history with just 49 points against Miami. A stark reminder that even the greatest empires experience a dark, scoreless age.

18-of-27 shooting. 49 points. 10 assists.

On April 27, 2008, Kobe Bryant didn't just beat the Nuggets—he completely solved them. Pure efficiency, absolute takeover mode, and a masterclass in killer instinct. Some players chase highlights; Kobe engineered the whole damn game.

Mamba mentality in its purest form.

When Hakeem Dropped a Playoff Monster Game in Seattle

49 points. 25 rebounds. 6 blocks. In a double-overtime war.

Hakeem Olajuwon didn’t just play basketball on May 14, 1987—he put on a mythical, superhuman masterclass that left the Seattle SuperSonics gasping for air.

Even in a heartbreaking 128-125 playoff defeat, "The Dream" carved his name into eternity. Absolute greatness doesn't always need a win; sometimes, it just needs a box score that defies human logic.

THE 48-MINUTE

July 15, 2021. Eastern Conference Semifinals. Game 5.

With Kyrie Irving injured and James Harden playing on a compromised hamstring, Kevin Durant didn’t just carry the Brooklyn Nets—he put on a historic, once-in-a-generation clinic that we will talk about for the next fifty years.

No substitutions. No gas left in the tank. Just pure, unadulterated offensive genius against the eventual NBA champions. When they needed a hero, the Slim Reaper gave them immortality.

What is your #1 favorite playoff performance of all time?

49 points. As a teenager.

On January 29, 2026, Dallas Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg made NBA history by dropping 49 points against the Charlotte Hornets—temporarily setting the all-time single-game scoring record for a teenager.

To top it off? Fellow rookie Kon Knueppel answered right back with 34 points in an absolute legendary rookie duel.

The future of the NBA is already here, and it's terrifying.

FOUR STRAIGHT AND ROLLING!

The Dallas Wings put on an absolute offensive masterclass at College Park Center, routing the Connecticut Sun 97-71 to close out the stretch in style! The Wings didn't waste any time establishing dominance on their home floor, putting up 32 points in the first quarter alone and never trailing for a single second of the match.

Arike Ogunbowale led the charge with 18 points, Jessica Shepard posted a dominant 17-point, 10-rebound double-double, and Paige Bueckers added 15 as Dallas never trailed once! A scorching 52.4% from the field and elite ball movement locked up our 24th win and a clean sweep of the season series.

Despite a tough season, Aaliyah Edwards put together a monster individual performance, matching her career high with 26 points alongside Charlisse Leger-Walker's 17 points, though the Sun ultimately lacked the depth to counter Dallas's relentless pace.

SHORT-HANDED? NO PROBLEM!

The Golden State Valkyries head into the break firing on all cylinders, dismantling the Portland Fire 86-69 right on their home court at the Moda Center! Hayes came out blazing, scoring 8 of Golden State's first 10 points and matching Portland's entire first-quarter output single-handedly to grab a quick 19-point lead

When Portland threatened to cut into the deficit, Kaitlyn Chen engineered a dominant 15-0 run in the first half, pouring in 12 points before halftime. Meanwhile, Veronica Burton carved up the floor with 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists, officially crossing 500 career rebounds.
