Grateful words from Mrs Allyn Rose P. Alcarde President, CALTTEC and mother of Josh Aldrie Alcarde.

Palarong Pambansa 2026 will always be one of the most unforgettable chapters of Toto Rain’s table tennis journey. Every match, every challenge, every victory, and every lesson learned became a beautiful memory that he will cherish for a lifetime.

This journey was never just about winning medals. It was about dedication, discipline, perseverance, and the courage to represent Region VI with pride and honor. Seeing him grow as an athlete and as a young person has been a blessing.

It all started with a simple dream by a small group of passionate table tennis players, led by Coach Jumar Garrido, hoping to bring attention and support to a sport that in Calinog was not noticed. When the call for help was made, Mr. and Mrs. Joie Manero didn’t hesitate. They gave their full support to bring CALTTEC back to life, holding on to one shared dream, to one day hear Calinog’s name proudly called among the best.

The journey wasn’t easy. There were ups and downs, moments of doubt, tears, heartaches, disappointments and challenges along the way. But those who stayed, who believed in team accomplishment and in each other, pushed through. And now, about three years later, all the hard work and sacrifices have finally paid off.

Congratulations, Team CALTTEC, for being a huge part of this year’s victory as OVERALL CHAMPION in Table Tennis Elementary Boys, WVRAA 2026.
