Discipline in every match

During the Black Powder Gun Club monthly clubshoot last August 16, 2026, we once again emphasized the importance of discipline, safety, and responsibility within the group.

A successful shooting activity is not only about skills and competition—it is also about respecting the rules, following proper procedures, and looking after one another.

Let us continue to practice discipline, camaraderie, and safety in every club activity. These values make us not only better shooters, but also make the club a stronger and more responsible organization.

Michael Costilo, the entire RCSU Region 8 team headed by Police Colonel Sol Elefanio, PNP Region 8 Director PBGen Jason Capoy, the Philippine Practical Shooting Association (PPSA) Region 8 Director, Calbayog City PNP headed by PLTCOL Denver Revita and PLTCOL Jun Pongcol and the Fi****ms and Explosives Office (FEO), Camp Crame for their invaluable support and for approving the renewal of our shooting range.

The club strongly condemns the senseless shooting of the young, innocent students in Tacloban City.

We condole with the bereaved families of the slain victims and sympathize with all those who were injured physically and mentally during the ordeal.

We also believe that as parents we are fully responsible for the acts of our minor children.

As responsible gun owners the club instills on all its members the obligation to treat firearm ownership as a commitment to public safety. This includes strictly following universal safety rules and securely storing fi****ms and keeping them beyond the reach of unauthorized individuals.

We remain committed to promoting discipline, responsibility, and professionalism among our members to ensure that shooting sport continues to be practiced in a safe and lawful manner.
