🏟️ 2027 EVRAA VENUE INSPECTION | DAY 2

The Road to EVRAA 2027 continues as the Local Government Unit of Calbayog City and the Department of Education conduct another round of onsite inspections of proposed competition venues across the city.

Today's venue visit covered the following sports and facilities:

🏀 Oquendo Basketball Court
• Basketball 3x3 – Secondary Boys & Girls

⚽ Oquendo National High School
• Elementary Football

🥋 Trinidad Basketball Court
• Taekwondo

⚽ Trinidad Elementary School
• Football – Elementary Boys & Secondary Girls

🤸 San Policarpo National High School / San Policarpo Basketball Court
Gymnastics MAG & WAG.

🥋 Convention Center
• Arnis – Elementary & Secondary Boys and Girls

🏃 NWSSU Oval
• Athletics
• Football

The inspection focused on the playing areas, venue dimensions, facility capacity, accessibility, and equipment and infrastructure requirements for each sport. Proposed venue adjustments were also discussed to ensure that every competition can be conducted safely and efficiently in accordance with the requirements of the Regional Meet. And are still subject for changes.

These ongoing inspections demonstrate the importance of flexibility, technical assessment, and coordination in preparing Calbayog City for a major regional sporting event.

The Local Government Unit of Calbayog City and the Department of Education continue to work together in identifying the best possible venues and ensuring that the necessary improvements, equipment, and facilities are in place for the arrival of the region's student-athletes.
