My SWEATER story....
As a breeder, I initially experimented with different types of Sweaters(5k,goldenboy,supersweater,Red and many more). After a while, I decided to stop, concluding that breeding wasn't for me. My reasons were twofold: first, everyone wanted the same trend, making it difficult to compete with similar bloodlines; second, I found that these birds are often offense-oriented and struggle to adjust to opponents.
In 2023, the Manila Group convinced me to breed Sweaters for major events, as they were looking for good-looking fowls. I conducted my research and realized that I hadn't yet bred the 226 Sweaters/Possum from Nene Abello. Fortunately, Nene's nephew is a friend, and we secured excellent breeding materials from Mr. Abello's personal selections. We acquired four trios of Sweaters, each with different markings. We crossed one brood stag with Wildcreek/Dink Brownie Kelso pullets and paired 226 pullets with Wildcreek/Brownie Kelso stags. The remaining Sets/Pure were bred as trios for materials and testing in fights.
Now i realized, I like sweaters but only this bloodline 226/possum Sweaters. Hard Punchers, Deep Cutting, Hard to kill, Side stepping.
As of today, the results for this season stand at
10 wins out of 10 fights.
Fought them in 2 way cross and Pure.
