CAGAYAN DE ORO ARCHERY CLUB DELIVERS STRONG SHOWING AT WAP-PAC AND PYAC bagging 3 gold medals and 2 silver medals.
SORSOGON CITY — Cagayan de Oro Archery Club showcased another successful national campaign after earning multiple podium finishes and notable performances during the World Archery Philippines, Philippine Archery Championships (PAC) and Philippine Youth Archery Championships (PYAC) held in Sorsogon City from June 9–14, 2026.
Leading the club’s achievements were the Datiles brothers, who once again demonstrated exceptional skills and competitiveness on the national stage.
Lester Ian delivered an outstanding performance by winning the Gold Medal in the Qualification Round (QR) of the PAC open division, while Kerwin Ian placed 4th.
Kerwin Ian also bagged the Gold Medal in the Qualification Round (QR) and Silver Medal in the Olympic Round (OR) in the U17 boys' youth division.
Another memorable moment for the club came from Moira Julianne Cadavez, who made an exceptional impression in her debut appearance in a WAP tournament. Competing in her first ever WAP national event, Moira immediately made her mark by securing the Gold Medal in the OR of the U15 Girls' youth Division, a remarkable achievement and a promising start to her competitive archery journey.
Adding to the club’s medal tally, Alyssa Beatriz Altares partnered with Kerwin Ian to bag the Silver Medal in the U17 Mixed Team Event.
The team’s accomplishments reflect the continued growth of Cagayan de Oro Archery Club and its commitment to developing athletes capable of competing and excelling at the national level.
With gold medals, podium finishes, breakthrough performances, and a memorable debut, Cagayan de Oro Archery Club concluded its Sorsogon campaign with results that continue to inspire the next generation of archers from Northern Mindanao.
