XUHS 2004 Bucketeers

Bucketeers fall off the winning track by the charge of the Lancers!

The Bucks would like to show love to FLIQ Athletics for our Blue threads (Away Jersey) for Season 15 of the longest running alumni basketball league in Mindanao!

The Xavier-Ateneo de Cagayan University High School Class of 2004 Bucketeers was short handed today with absence of key players: Lucas Tagarda, Xandrex Brito, Marc Tan, Titot Pascual and Daryl Dadia enduring a tough loss to the XUHS 2008 Lancers in their second game of the XUHS ABL - Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan).

Despite the setback, the Bucketeers showed the grit, composure and brotherhood that have always defined this team. It was a hard-fought battle from start to finish, with both teams competing with intensity and pride.

For the Bucketeers, the loss serves as another opportunity to learn, adjust and continue building chemistry under Coach Mike Avs. Early-season struggles are part of the journey and what matters now? Is how the team responds.

The season is far from over. The Bucketeers will regroup, keep working, and come back stronger—together. -SportsTitoCDO 🎙️

One loss. One lesson. One brotherhood. The Bucketeers move forward.

THE BUCKETEERS ARE BACK AND THE CAMPAIGN CONTINUES!💙

The Xavier-Ateneo de Cagayan University High School Class of 2004 Men’s Alumni Basketball Team opened its season in winning fashion, but the real test continues for the longest running alumni basketball league in Mindanao!

With the Bucketeers still finding their rhythm and adjusting to the system of new head coach Mike Avs, one thing remains unchanged: the chemistry, trust and brotherhood that have always defined this team in the XUHS ABL - Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan!

On the court, there are no fingers to point. No bad body language. No egos.

Just teammates holding each other accountable, making the extra pass, staying composed under pressure and most importantly? staying coachable.

That brotherhood has always been one of the Bucketeers’ greatest strengths, and as the season progresses, the challenge is to turn that chemistry into consistent production between the lines.

NEXT UP: THE LANCERS

Standing across the court this Sunday are the Lancers of XUHS 2008, a dangerous squad featuring athletic big men and versatile guards capable of making an impact on both ends of the floor.

The Bucketeers enter the matchup looking to make it 2-0, while the Lancers come charging in with plans of spoiling the Bucks’ hot start.

One thing is certain the battle will be physical, competitive and filled with alumni pride.

Will the Bucketeers keep the momentum rolling? Or will the Lancers charge into battle and even the score?

BUCKS FAM, WE NEED YOU!

Come out, bring the energy, and cheer your hearts out for the Bucketeers this Sunday at the Barangay Lumbia Basketball Gym!

Because this is more than basketball.

This is brotherhood. This is alumni pride. This is the Bucketeers. - 🎙️
