Most people just see the results on the board, but we see the hours you put in behind the scenes. We see the way you stay late, the way you analyze every move, and the way you never give up on us even when we’re having a bad day. You’ve taught us that discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment, and that 'team' is a family you choose.

ISU Cabagan Dominates University Meet in Athletics, Crowns Overall Champion in Men and Women
Divisions

ISU Cabagan once again stamped its dominance in university athletics after emerging as Overall Champion in both the Men and Women divisions during the University Meet held at ISU Cauayan from February 2–6, 2026.

The ISU Cabagan Athletics Team delivered a commanding performance, outshining eight other competing campuses through sheer depth, discipline, and determination. The delegation closed the meet with an impressive 31 gold, 12 silver, and 8 bronze medals, a testament to the athletes’ consistency across multiple track and field events and their rigorous preparation leading into the competition.

This victory further strengthened ISU Cabagan’s legacy in university sports. In 2022, when the University Meet was also hosted by the Cauayan Campus, the Cabagan Athletics Team similarly captured the Overall Championship, underscoring the program’s sustained excellence and competitive dominance through the years.

The historic double championship reflects not only the athletes’ hard work and resilience but also the unwavering support and guidance of their coaches and the entire ISU Cabagan community. Each event highlighted the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and the relentless pursuit of excellence.

With this resounding triumph, ISU Cabagan once again proved itself as a powerhouse in university athletics, setting a high standard for future competitions and inspiring the next generation of student-athletes to aim higher and compete stronger.

The ISU Cabagan Athletics Guild played a vital role as facilitators in the recently concluded Run Cabagan 2026: Inter-Agency and Invitational Color Fun Run, which featured 3K, 5K, and 10K race categories. The event successfully brought together participants from various agencies and institutions in a celebration of sportsmanship, physical fitness, wellness, and active community engagement, reinforcing the shared commitment to a healthy and dynamic community.

ISU Athletics Guild Facilitates CAST Sports Festival Events
📍 ISU–Cabagan Campus

On September 12, 2025, at the athletic grounds of ISU–Cabagan Campus, the ISU Athletics Guild, under the leadership of President Rodny took charge of facilitating the athletics component of the College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (CAST) Sports Festival. This initiative was part of the guild’s ongoing commitment to support campus-wide sports development and student engagement through organized, hands-on participation.

The guild coordinated and assisted in the ex*****on of several key events, including the Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, and Long-Distance Race. Members were actively involved in preparing the jump pits, ensuring accurate measurement of distances, providing technical advice to participating athletes, serving as lane umpires, and managing hydration support throughout the day. Their presence ensured that each event ran smoothly, safely, and in accordance with fair play standards.

CAST student Nald, who helped oversee the activities, expressed his appreciation for the guild’s support, stating, “Nagpapasalamat ako sa mga guild members kasi naging madali ang trabaho namin.”
President Rodny also emphasized the guild’s inclusive mission, saying, “Kahit anong grupo, kahit na outside ISU, ay tutulungan namin.”

Through this effort, the ISU Athletics Guild reaffirmed its role as a proactive partner in promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and community service across academic units and institutional boundaries.
