🏃♀️ NEW TO RUNNING? START HERE.
Ready to shift gears from “maybe someday” to day one? 🖤💛 This June 8, we’re calling in beginners, casual joggers, curious movers, and everyone who’s ever dreamed of hitting the road but didn’t know where to start.
We’re launching “Running Basics 101: A Beginner’s Guide”—a relaxed but powerful session led by none other than Sherlyn Guingab Fugaban, Merrell Pro Athlete and champion trail runner. With titles from Cowbells, Sta. Ines, and Sierra Madre under her belt, she knows what it takes to start small and stay consistent. This is a FREE training and run session—open to everyone who wants to start strong and run smart.
🌄 Why this matters:
Most people quit running not because they lack motivation, but because they don’t have the right foundation. We’re here to change that. This isn’t just a workout—it’s a safe space to learn the ropes, ask questions, meet fellow beginners, and fall in love with the run.

📌 Meeting Point: Club House Cabagan (The Northern Might Gym, Tun-nag, same building as Alfresco Pizzeria & Bistro)
🏃♂️ After the basics, we hit the road for a friendly 5KM “acquaintance run” down Cabagan Bypass—no race, no pressure, just rhythm and good company.
📝 What to bring & remember:
✔️ Running shoes you’ve broken in (no fresh-out-the-box pairs, please!)
✔️ Light, breathable clothes—it’s early, but the sun will catch up
✔️ Cap or visor & sunblock (trail tips apply on road too!)
✔️ Water bottle (hydration and fuel are part of the game)
✔️ Towel + change of clothes (you’ll thank us later)
✔️ Arrive early to warm up properly—injuries love latecomers 😅
